I obtained my Occupational Therapy degree from UCT in 2001. After graduating I travelled to Sweden to present a paper at the World Federation of Occupational Therapists based on my 4th year thesis regarding the importance of play in a child’s life. I used this opportunity to then work in the UK in both social services and hospital settings. I have always had a passion for working with children, and moved back to South Africa in 2003 to start working in private practice. I am married and am the mother to 2 lively children, Daniel and Caitlin, who constantly keep me on my toes!
I am passionate about learning and regularly attend courses to stay up to date with current trends. I have a special interest in Sensory processing difficulties and the impact this has on both the child and the family unit. Having had my own children I am keenly aware of the difficulties that parents face raising children to be happy and well-rounded individuals, and the challenges that come with parenting.
