Occupational therapy (OT) in our Centre focuses on children and we help children with various needs to improve their sensory awareness, cognitive levels and fine and gross motor skills. This helps, often together with other therapies, the child gain a sense of accomplishment and enhances their self-esteem.
In order for development a child needs to play, move and jump – this is vital to enhance other areas for example academics, friendships, and inter-personal relationships with the people in his environment. Occupational therapists can assess these skills within the individual child and compare them with what is developmentally appropriate for that age.
