My Background

MA Ed (Psych) from University of Pretoria and Counselling Psychology at Rau under Dr Gertie Pretorius, which resulted in a mini dissertation on Borderline Personality Disorders. Marriage Counselling at RAU and Sex Therapy I and II presented by Marlene Wasserman (Dr Eve). Background in Neuropsychology as well as Hypnotherapy I. I have experience using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Integrated Learning Therapy and WISC -V TRAINING.


My Interests

I have vast experience in dealing with children and adolescents with behavioural and learning difficulties. I have a special interest in the neuropsychology of learning disorders. This includes Instrumental Enrichment of cognitive functioning as advocated by Feuerstein.

I conduct learner assessments and guide the respective allied disciplines, like Remedial Teachers and Occupational Therapists in their therapeutic interventions.

I furthermore specialise in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with teenagers as well as adults. I guide parents to develop the skills necessary for effective child-rearing, teaching parents how to create a happy home and caring ways to (re)- connect with their children.
